Mutation by right of inheritance
Service Guidelines
Mutation means registration of the name of a person in the Record of Right i.e. the Jamabandi. The ownership is transferred from the recorded land owner to the legal heir through inheritance. The mutation by right of inheritance shall follow the provision under Sec 53 A (1), ALRR, 1886. No user fees for the service.

Mutation After Deed Registration
Service Guidelines
The process of recording the change/transfer in the title of ownership after the property has been transferred or sold. On mutation the name of the new owner is recorded and land revenue charged from the rightful owner. No user fees for the service.

Partition
Service Guidelines
Partition means division of a revenue paying estate in to two or more such estates, each separately liable for revenue assessed thereon. Every recorded proprietor/landowner in actual possession of the interest in respect of which he desires partition, apply for partition. No user fees for the service.

Reclassification of agricultural land to non agricultural land less than 1 bigha
Service Guidelines
If the usage of land is changed, the class of land also requires to be changed from the existing to a new land class. This service is for reclassification of agricultural land to non agricultural purpose if the land area is below one bigha. No user fees for the service.

Conversion from Annual Patta to Periodic Patta (AP to PP)
Service Guidelines
Conversion is the process through which status of any land settled for one year (Annual Patta) is changed to longer tenure. Once AP land is converted to PP Land, the land owner shall have permanent, heritable and transferable right of use and occupancy in his land. No user fees for AP to PP conversion for rural areas.

Certified Copy of Jamabandi
Service Guidelines
Jamabandi is the Record of Right (RoR) over land. It is maintained in the form of a 10 Column Register where details of the land holder including the land details of settled land are maintained. Further, any changes in the ownership is also reflected in the Jamabandi. Jamabandi copy is treated as a proof of Record of Right over land of a land holder. There are two sets of Jamabandi, one is maintained in the Revenue Circle Offices and the other is in the Sadar of the District. However, with the introduction of Mission Bwiswmuthi, the updated copy is available online.

Certified Copy of Chitha
Service Guidelines
Chitha is the Field Index Register maintained at the Revenue Circle Offices. It is a 31-Column Register where details of all land surveyed in a cadastral village is recorded plot wise. It also contains land use details, agriculture/crop/irrigation data of a plot. Any changes in the field with respect to a plot of land regarding its ownership, partition, classification etc. are first made in the Chitha which is then corrected in the corresponding column of Jamabandi.
